Collecting Individual Events with a Geiger Counter
摘要
The basic procedures to collect individual events with a Geiger counter are here outlined. Time stamping of the collected events is discussed, to perform offline numerical and graphical analysis once the events are stored on a file. Practical examples of dataset are discussed, to extract the count rate and introduce the concept of statistical fluctuations.
