A Two-Elements Telescope of Geiger Counters

In the context of particle detectors, a telescope is made by two or more superimposed individual detectors which may operate in coincidence, to reconstruct the direction of the incoming particle. Two or more Geiger counters, with an appropriate geometry, may be operated as a telescope, whose performance will depend on their size and relative distance. A general discussion of the properties of such telescopes is given in this Section, and experimental data collected with a two-elements Geiger telescope are analysed and discussed.
