Combining the Information from Several Counters: The OR Strategy

Information coming from several detectors may be combined in different ways, helping in some cases to disentangle the different physics processes under study. In this Section we see the simplest way to employ two or more Geiger counters at the same time, i.e. the logical OR combination, either by hardware or by software tools. This strategy, when applied to event-by-event data collection not only increases the collected number of events, which may be essential for some experiments, but also allow to compare the information provided by similar detectors.
