Piezoelectric Performance Measurement of Composites
摘要
The piezoelectric characterization of thin and flexible piezoelectric materials has been challenging for years and most piezoelectric performance characterization methods have been developed for bulk piezoceramics. Various existing piezoelectric performance characterization methods are reviewed, their advantages and limitations are discussed. A 4-point bending method, proposed by other studies for piezoelectric performance characterization of thin and flexible composites, is constructed and systematically investigated. The assumptions required are presented. The dynamic system response reveals frequency and strain ranges mostly suitable for piezoelectric charge coefficient \(d_{31}\) determination. A 4-point bending method is capable of determining an effective piezoelectric charge coefficient of thin and flexible piezoelectric materials adhered to a substrate.
