Analyzing Interaction Involving People Living with Late-Stage Dementia

For the studies presented in this book, we collected data from two elderly care homes as well as a private residence of a person with late-stage dementia with his wife. Studies in this book are all based on qualitative analysis with an explorative and inductive approach to the empirical materials. In what follows, we will introduce the settings, the participants, and discuss the fundamentals of our qualitative approach including the chosen method of video ethnographyethnographyvideo-ethnography for our data collection as well as the analytic method we adopted in the analysis of interactionsinteraction/interactional with people with late-stage dementia.
