The Intervention of Artificial Intelligence in the Healthcare Sector: Trends and Challenges

Artificial intelligence (AI) in the healthcare industry has become a transformational force, presenting exciting opportunities to improve clinical conditions and patient care. This study highlights AI intervention’s leading applications and prospective advantages in the healthcare industry. According to the literature review, AI is used in several healthcare settings, including illness diagnosis, medical image analysis, personalized medication, telemedicine, and public health management. The healthcare industry can profit from AI by using it properly and ethically, improving patient outcomes, increasing efficiency, and progressing healthcare delivery. AI algorithms can analyze massive amounts of healthcare data, yield insightful conclusions, and aid in using data to inform decisions. This study also discusses issues with data quality, infrastructural constraints, skill shortages, ethical concerns, and cost when implementing AI in the healthcare industry, collaboration among stakeholders, including healthcare organizations, policymakers, and technology providers, is necessary to overcome these obstacles. The findings of this study suggest that there are multiple areas in which AI can be used, yet the data indicates that there are varied constraints when it comes to the applicability of AI in the healthcare sector. It can be said that AI in the healthcare sector is a two-way sword having its boon and bane. AI algorithms can analyze massive amounts of healthcare data, yield insightful conclusions, and aid in using data to inform decisions. This study also discusses issues with data quality, infrastructural constraints, skill shortages, ethical concerns, and costs of implementing AI in the healthcare industry. Significant social ramifications result from these difficulties, including the requirement to guarantee equal access to AI-driven healthcare treatments, and address potential biases in AI systems. The potential use of AI in healthcare appears bright in the future. Machine learning, robots, and other developments in AI technology have the potential to revolutionize healthcare delivery while also empowering people and enabling precision medicine.
