Interbeing and Self-Care
摘要
As we recognize our interrelatedness, we also come to realize that self-care is earth care. Although most of us have internalized the dominant norms of constant stress, rush, and overwork, we can begin to deconstruct these systems and unlearn these habits. We can cultivate ways of being that are slower, more mindful, and more caring. Here I discuss the paradox of letting go and yielding, and the trinity of soil, society, and self to explore self-care as stillness, joy, and calm. I offer stories of my own journey toward deeper self-care, as well as stories of mentoring and teaching in service to learning new ways of caring and interbeing.
