Zoroastrian Religion: Zoroaster—The First Prophet

Zoroastrian religion is probably the most ancient monotheistic religion centered on unceasing struggle between the forces representing right and wrong, truth and falsehood (Druj), light and dark, life and death, health and illness, agency and helplessness, and joy and misery and most importantly the protection of purity of souls of humans, animals, and plants and the basic elements of the nature, namely water, air, soil, and fire. It promotes goodness through good thoughts, good talks, and good deeds. The ultimate goal is service to all creatures and their habitats through charity toward everyone and every element. The wise lord, Ahura Mazda, is omniscient but only gains omnipotence through collaboration and partnership with all creatures in the battle against falsehood. The people with virtuous lives enter the “House of Song” with their family and friends for eternal life. The people who chose the path of falsehood are expected to purify their souls and join virtuous people and animals in the Paradise.
