摘要

Climate change is having multiple detrimental impacts on mental health. However, less research exists on the effects of climate change on mental health in humanitarian settings, despite these contexts being characterised by a high degree of mental health needs. This chapter provides an overview of the existing literature on climate change and mental health as it relates to humanitarian settings. It highlights the vulnerability of certain population groups, such as young people, and the importance of approaching the topic of climate change and mental health in humanitarian settings from an intersectional lens rooted in climate justice. This chapter also provides a comprehensive overview of how mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) intervention may be relevant to climate change.
