Product Approximations of Self-Adjoint Semigroups

In this chapter, we proceed with a systematic analysis of the main for this book subject: the product formulæ approximations in the operator-norm topology for strongly continuous semigroups. This concept has been already introduced in Preliminaries, Sect. 1.9.6 . The current chapter concerns the actually most developed case of the Trotter-Kato product formulæ: the formulæ for self-adjoint \(C_0\) -semigroups.
