Introduction

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a term coined in 1955 by John McCarthy, a Stanford professor. He defined it as “The science and engineering of making intelligent machines, especially intelligent computer programs.” However, over the years, many other definitions have been proposed, such as “artificial intelligence is intelligence demonstrated by machines, as opposed to the natural intelligence displayed by animals and humans.”
