Authenticity of Indigenous Peoples in the Conditions of Industrial Development of the Arctic

The article is devoted to the study of the problem of industrial development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and its economic development in combination with the preservation of the cultural and national identity of the indigenous peoples of the Arctic. The ethnic composition of the population of the northern regions is analyzed. The peculiarities of the life of the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the Far North are original and of interest to both ethnographers and tourists. It is important for the Arctic labor market that the local population is better adapted to work in a cold climate. From the point of view of psychologists, it is interesting that the local population gets joy and pride from living in unfavorable conditions of everyday life. The peculiarities of the national character of the young generation of indigenous peoples of the Arctic, the attitude to new professions and traditions of their ancestors are presented. The industrial development of Arctic natural resources will inevitably require the creation of a transport infrastructure that ensures both the economic development of the Arctic zone and the development of population mobility. The main task of the region's development will be the creation of a social and natural system organically connected with modern technological achievements in the field of transport and industry. The solution to this contradiction is a combination of different types of transport, a variety of ways and means of transportation, including traditional ways of moving nomads and modern technologies for creating vehicles.
