The Place of Digitalization in Managing the Socio-economic Development of Regions and Countries
摘要
The main goal of this study is to substantiate the significant contribution of the digital economy to the regional socio-economic development of spatial systems. Modern modeling of the life activity of countries and regions today is viewed through the prism of the concept of sustainable development, while its development towards digitalization, in the authors’ opinion, is the key to substantiating high-quality multi-parameter models, on the basis of which it is possible to make informed management decisions, which is the relevance of this study. Scientific novelty is determined by the study of the level of digital development and its substantiation in a generalized assessment of the socio-economic development of spatial systems using the example of individual states. The work identifies 3 macrogroups of indicators for sustainable development of regions: economic, social and digital. The share of Internet use by individuals was assessed as the main indicator of the level of digitalization based on correlation analysis with a determination coefficient of 0.8 and a regression coefficient of 1.5. In conclusion, it is concluded that it is important to take into account digitalization in general and the share of Internet use by the population in particular when assessing the sustainable development of spatial systems, as one of the main factors in the new era.
