摘要
The authors consolidated the ideas of both Russian and international scholars regarding strategic decision-making in agricultural management. This research presents the expected value of the primary segments of the global agribusiness market. It also provides a characterization of the Agriculture 4.0 model and presents a systematic analysis of the survey results according to strategic management elements. Empirical results showed that among the defining introductory factors of agribusiness management the following can be distinguished: the course of development of agriculture, a unified business sphere, governmental course, external and internal competitive struggle of market participants, logistical conditions, and the maturity of customers. The authors explore ways of developing the management of agricultural enterprises in the new reality of the twenty-first century, in the context of the intense geopolitical and digital changes that created a new reality for national food security. The methodical approach to the strategic management of agribusiness at the meso-level explains how managers of agribusiness react to the different issues that businesses face in the agriculture industry. Through interviews with top management from prominent companies in the industry, the authors were able to investigate the management of agribusiness in Russia and India from a fresh perspective within the confines of this study. The findings indicate that prominent stakeholders within the agribusiness sector prioritize the cultivation of a high degree of autonomy in agricultural practices.
