Problems of Import Substitution of Processors and Ways to Solve Them in the Russian Federation

The imposition of sanctions raised the issue of building technological sovereignty, the realization of which is impossible without import substitution measures. The implementation of measures inevitably faces various difficulties, both in the production of various products and in the implementation them in the economy. It was not spared by the processors, its import substitution is an important aspect in the digitalization of the economy, as well as the formation of the technological security of Russia due to the import substitution of critical information infrastructure, its dependence on imported components is unacceptable to ensure the security of the country in the current foreign policy conditions. The purpose of the study is to determine the problems that arose during the import substitution of foreign processors by Russian analogues, as well as to propose possible ways to solve the current situation. The objectives of the study were to determine and describe the currently available Russian-designed processors, identify the problems faced by Russian processor developers when introducing these products and implementing the import substitution program, as well as propose possible solutions to overcome the identified problems.
