Nanotoxicology
摘要
Today, the field of nanotechnology is developing incredibly. With this rise of nanotechnology, the potential risks of nanomaterials/nanoparticles to aquatic organisms have led to growing concerns, along with environmental issues. Due to their anthropogenic release, these nanoparticles (NPs) are seen as a potential hazard to aquatic life and aquatic environmental health. In recent years, the interaction between NPs and biological processes has received increasing attention, and the need for research into their presence, characterization and toxicological effects on ecosystem components/environments, is increasing. This section will contribute to the sustainable improvement of existing data, along with recommendations on how to support the growth of a safe and sustainable nanotechnology industry, what new potential threats could be posed by the widespread use of nanoparticles, raise awareness of the discipline of aquatic nanotoxicology, and how to prevent this threat.
