Classification of Pollution and Their Entry Rotues into Aquatic Ecosystems
摘要
Pollution is defined as a condition that occurs when any substance or form of energy exceeds the carrying capacity of the environment or can be dispersed into larger areas. The term “environmental pollution” refers to the event where foreign substances that negatively affect the living and non-living elements of the environment, create physical and biological harm, and alter their qualities, mix extensively with the air, water, and soil. The main causes of environmental pollution can be listed as rapid population growth, unplanned urbanization, industrialization, and the excessive use of natural resources. Environmental pollution is generally classified into air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, noise pollution, and visual pollution. Environmental pollutions harm all living beings in nature directly or indirectly, as they cause damage to nature itself. Today, visual pollution and light pollution are also considered forms of environmental pollution, created by humans and causing harm to both humans and other living organisms. Additionally, environmental pollution disrupts ecosystem balances, leading to climate change and global warming on a climatic scale.
