Impact of Heavy Metals Contamination on Human Health

We reviewed the recent literature on toxic impacts of heavy metals or ‘toxic’ metals, such as, Arsenic, Cadmium, Chromium, Lead, Mercury, Copper, Manganese and Zinc on human health. The toxic levels of heavy metals impact major physiological processes, such as immune system, nervous system, cardio-vascular system, hepato-urinary system, respiratory system etc. resulting in compromised physical and mental health.
