The Degree of Dependence of Faculty Members on Paper, Electronic and Internet Sources of Information in Zarqa University Library

The study aims to determine the attitude of faculty members at Zarqa University in the various human and scientific disciplines towards the use of paper and electronic information sources in the university library and the Internet in teaching and scientific research. This study used the survey method, in which a questionnaire was designed and distributed to a sample of (30%) of the study population, (311) faculty members, and (100) questionnaires were retrieved. Research has shown that most faculty members prefer to use electronic resources to obtain information for lectures and research, and to keep up with recent developments in their fields. Additionally, the study found that some faculty members face problems such as a language barrier and lack of computer knowledge. The study recommended introducing faculty members to electronic sources of information, especially library databases, and holding introductory courses on research methods.
