Determinants of Economic Performance in Emerging Countries: Evidence from Generalized Method of Moments

Countries are distinguished by their dynamic and innovational aspects shaped by perceived growth proportion of their economic performance affected by the flexibility and rationality of the decision makers who are bound by different aspects and economic authorities. The present study examined the significant role of economic freedom and exogenous factors that may affect the economic performance of MENA countries, namely the factors of the economic freedom, country risk factors and competition. GMM method was used in data analyses and results showed the importance of governance quality improvements and transparency, in addition to promoting the liberal system and competitiveness to facilitate MENA countries in achieving economic stability and growth.
