A Comparison Study for Test Case Management Tools

The testers need enough test cases to support the accuracy of testing. They need also specific testing tools that should help manage the testing and the analysis of their results. Spreadsheets turn into an enormous burden in managing testing because they do not provide any features. Therefore, a tool is necessary to assist testers in managing each test case in the testing process. This paper aims to look at some of the leading test case management tools and their key features. We conducting a comparison study for five test case management tools (Testpad, Testlodge, Testcollab, TestCaseLab, and Test Rail) based on twelve features. As a result of the comparison study, we consider the test collaboration tool to be the best because it offers many features and, besides that, it is free.
