The Rise of Open Banking: Analyzing Consumer Trust and Data Privacy Concerns
摘要
The development of Open Banking has caused a seismic upheaval in the financial industry, altering how people engage with their banks and access financial services. Consumers may safely exchange their financial data with approved third-party providers through Open Banking, allowing the creation of new and tailored financial solutions. However, as this unique notion gets traction, major questions about customer trust and data privacy arise. According to the conclusions of the study, consumer trust is a critical aspect in the effective implementation of Open Banking. Transparent processes, strong security measures, and compliance with data protection requirements are all important drivers of customer confidence. Furthermore, we discovered that raising knowledge about Open Banking can help to alleviate data privacy issues. The study also reveals a positive feedback loop between Open Banking adoption and awareness. Consumers are more inclined to investigate and use Open Banking services as they become more aware of the possible benefits. At the same time, active usage raises consumer awareness by allowing them to actually experience the benefits and share their positive experiences with others. The research findings emphasize the necessity of cultivating customer trust, improving data protection safeguards, and supporting awareness activities to ensure the long-term growth and adoption of Open Banking. Addressing these essential elements will allow financial institutions and stakeholders to create a secure and trustworthy Open Banking environment that empowers customers while protecting their data privacy.
