Overview

This book presents my views on how to conduct and publish effectual academic research. These views rely primarily on personal experiences and anecdotal evidence. I rely upon my own academic journey and the experiences of others that I have encountered throughout my lengthy career to construct narratives and provide rationale for my views on conducting and publishing successful academic research. Given the limited literature on the subject, mainly because effective academic research rooted in scientific methodology and published in scholarly journals, is still often considered more of an art than science, there is a divergence in viewpoints regarding how to effectively produce and publish impactful academic research. Therefore, I fully anticipate that not all readers will share my viewpoints, and many may strongly disagree with various aspects of them. Some might even perceive some of these ideas as conventional wisdom. Nonetheless, I hope that readers will find some of my suggestions worthy of contemplation.
