摘要

Construction firms face a variety of challenges and disruptions in today's complex and rapidly changing business environment. The ability to adapt and recover from these disruptions has become increasingly important, leading to a growing interest in the concept of organizational resilience. At the same time, creating capacity and capability has emerged as a key theme for organizations seeking to develop the skills and resources necessary to achieve their goals. This paper aims to answer the following research question “what are the capacities and capabilities required by construction firms to attain organizational resilience when disruptive events occur?”. A comprehensive review of 20 selected papers is provided. Drawing on a range of theoretical perspectives and empirical studies, the capabilities and capacities required by construction firms to develop organizational resilience are presented. This review provides practical insights for construction organizations seeking to improve their resilience in an increasingly uncertain world. Overall, this paper underscores the importance of creating capacity and capability as a means of building organizational resilience and highlights the need for ongoing attention to this critical issue.
