Increasing the Resilience of the Municipalities Citizens to Crisis Event with the Support of Social Networks
摘要
Crisis events are evolving and every year there are different threats that need to be prepared for and to respond to immediately if they arise. For this reason, the collection and evaluation of information on crisis events must also change. Classic methods of collection as well as evaluation need to be updated, which the twenty-first century offers. New technologies and communication channels have brought a series of changes to which it is necessary to adapt. An important role in the transmission and sharing of information is offered by social networks, which can be used. Municipalities should use social networks and the potential offered by increasing resilience as well as residents’ resilience to crisis events. The survey method was used to assess the potential of the social network, and the opinions of residents on the use of social networks in case of crisis events were determined using a questionnaire. Based on the results of the survey, methods were proposed for the use of social networks by crisis managers in the municipalities.
