Weighted Inequalities

Weights are positive functions that produce useful absolutely continuous measures. Weights, in particular, are intricately connected with the theory of the Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator. We motivate our discussion on weights by obtaining a weighted version of the weak-type (1, 1) inequality of the Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator.
