A Study into the Critical Success Factors of an Asset Management System Implementation: A Review and Evaluation

The paper discusses possible influencing factors for the successful introduction of an asset management system (AMS). This paper presents a study of certain factors that affect the success of implementing an AMS based solely on secondary research and expert evaluation of the results of the literature review. Based on a systematic literature review and expert evaluation of the findings, 17 potential critical success factors that are essential for the successful implementation of an AMS are proposed. The results of this research suggest that understanding the factors that can facilitate the success of AMS implementation can provide the necessary support to organizations committed to the long-term success and sustainability of their business. Consequently, practitioners can utilize the findings of this study to strengthen the factors required to implement an effective AMS. Furthermore, this work provides a foundation for future research aimed at examining the critical success factors in real business situations.
