摘要

One of the key elements for the proper functioning of logistics in a manufacturing company is well-organized supply processes. The continuously increasing customer requirements, time pressure, and quality standards necessitate constant monitoring and improvement of the implemented processes. Therefore, the right choice of suppliers is extremely important. Collaboration with a reliable and punctual contract partner contributes to the correct functioning of the entire production system. It enables the realization of production processes according to the schedule, without incurring additional costs of storage (in the case of excess inventory) or production stoppage (in the case of a lack of proper raw materials). Hence, the choice of the right supplier, being one of the more critical decisions, should be based on clearly defined selection criteria and ensure seamless, long-term cooperation. Partnership relations between the company and the supplier, based on knowledge and experience, allow for shaping competitiveness and building a market advantage. The article presents a method for evaluating the supply process and demonstrates its application in a sample enterprise. Possible indicators applicable in the field of supply chain logistics for diagnosing the company are also presented, and an exemplification of the presented method is provided, adding to the merits of this article.
