Conditions of Remote Work to Ensure Mobility in Project Activity

The article examines the prerequisites for establishing favor conditions for remote work, its advantages, and disadvantages in the context of project activities. The share of employees who work remotely, as well as their level of satisfaction with this format of work, was determined. The purpose of the article is to study the individual and systemic factors of remote work in the context of mobility to determine the conditions for improving the quality of project activity. Based on the content analysis, it was concluded that quality remote work requires considering two factors: creating a suitable workplace and working environment. To substantiate these hypotheses, a situational analysis of remote work was conducted. A survey of international projects participants working in the field of business as well as educational, scientific and project activities was conducted. The results of the survey identified a group of factors that determine the quality of remote work in project activity, including the ability to make independent decisions, work experience, the amount of work performed remotely, and the desire to improve relevant skills. Considering the results of the survey on the advantages and disadvantages of remote work, a balancing method was proposed. It is based on considering the disadvantages of remote work identified by respondents and provides for the implementation of corrective measures based on considering the advantages that respondents consider useful to overcome the disadvantages of remote work, due to the improvement of communication technologies. The value of the obtained results is the generalization that each organization as well as the project team can use the existing potential for the organization of remote work, creating appropriate conditions for the organization of the workplace as well as work environment and proper communications.
