The Concept of a System Supporting the Implementation of an Intelligent Lubrication Strategy Within the Company Using Advanced Information Technologies

The collection and processing of data in the context of Industry 4.0 and 5.0 are becoming crucial not only in supporting production management but increasingly in other processes, such as maintenance. The article presents a concept of a system supporting lubrication management. The authors emphasize that despite the introduction of automation elements in lubrication management, many operations related to machine lubrication are still performed manually, limiting the implementation of Industry 4.0 concepts in this area. To address this issue, the article introduces the concept of a supporting system based on the implementation of intelligent lubrication management. This system should, on one hand, utilize established Industry 4.0 solutions in the form of data analysis methods and process simulations, and on the other hand, enable a gradual and phased transition away from manual lubrication methods without losing the benefits of process automation and the implementation of intelligent solutions related to Data Analytics. The proposed system in the article uses tools such as RFID, AR, and IoT, allowing for a relatively simple, cost-effective, and direct involvement of maintenance personnel in both data collection and the utilization of modern technologies supporting lubrication management tasks.
