Is It Achalasia or Absent Contractility?

A 43-year-old woman presented with bothersome daily dysphagia. High-resolution esophageal manometry showed no peristalsis and an integrated relaxation pressure near the upper limit of normal. This chapter discusses the utility of the endoluminal functional lumen imaging probe to confirm the diagnosis and guide management when manometry is not definitive.
