Reflux After Sleeve Gastrectomy

A 65-year-old woman with prior sleeve gastrectomy and Barrett’s esophagus reported nocturnal reflux symptoms refractory to acid suppression. Persistent pathologic acid reflux was confirmed by pH testing. This chapter discusses the management of refractory GERD in patients with prior bariatric surgery.
