A 40-year-old woman with a thyroid goiter presents with dysphagia. High-resolution esophageal manometry revealed premature esophageal contractions, but a subsequent test showed esophageal pan-pressurization. This chapter discusses the progression from her initial diagnosis to her ultimate one.
