Design and Structural Analysis of Patient-Specific Knee Guide Using Automated FEA
摘要
Patient-specific knee guides are manufactured using 3D printing technology and are based upon an individual’s knee bone structure. Meaning that every single knee guide produce would have a difference over the other due to each individual humans would have different bone structure and pattern. A GUI that has been fed with the necessary data will perform an analysis on the stress, strain and displacement of the patient-specific knee guide by automatically using Elmer FEM, GMSH and Paraview, and come out with a report showing the result of the analysis. The result would compare the guides having a solid, hollow and latices infill. Through the results, it can be found that latices infill can help produce a sturdy guide and reduce the materials required to produce the guide.
