The purpose of the study is to research and develop recommendations for expanding the scope of application of PPP and municipal-private partnership (MPP), as well as eliminating barrier restrictions in their use. The study presents the authors’ interpretation of the sustainable development concept in the context of the quint of approach and concludes that the role of PPP as an instrument of effective management at the present stage of Russian economy is increasing. To prove this, an integrated approach is used to assess the effectiveness of the PPP use, based on data from the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Rosstat, the National PPP Center of Russia, and the Rosinfra platform. The assessment and recommendations were carried out through a detailed analysis of non-financial reporting on the sustainable development of Russian companies. During the study, the authors register the lack of unified guidance papers for the formation and disclosure of non-financial information that meet the realities and needs of the non-financial and financial sectors of the economy, which slows down the expansion of the PPP and MPP use within the Russian economy and on its global scale.
