Dark Infrastructure

How do we study theory in dark academe? While the last quarter of the twentieth-century produced several different models for studying theory, none of them were specifically attuned to dark academe. Rather, proposals for the study of theory tended to rely upon some form of structure that was impervious to transitional times. Or, alternately stated, the study of theory under these models was the same regardless of whether or not we are living in dark times.
