One Crux of the Matter: Brandom and Wittgenstein on Aspect Perception
摘要
“A Crux of the Matter: Brandom and Wittgenstein on Aspect Perception”: As an operational pluralist, I need to try to identify respectfully, and not try to surprise attack, anyone’s particular intellectual profile and aims. And as a rhetorical thinker, part of my job description is to be on the lookout for ways to discriminate new possibilities for “thinking the poem.” Fortunately, Robert Brandom gives us much of what I need to close in on my real target, which is to redefine key concepts of rhetoric, among them interpretation, aspect perception, concept, reason, logic, grammar, inference, and argument, showing how they are both thematized and instantiated in exemplary texts.
