The rescue expedition leader Captain Arve Staxrud, the expedition physician Dr. P. W. K. Bøckmann, and the South Pole expedition sled dogs Lussi and Storm traveled by train from Kristiania en route north to Tromsø and arrived in Trondheim on the morning of March 6 (Dagsposten 6 March 1913).
