Herbert Schröder-Stranz’s Training Expedition for His Planned Northeast Passage (1912)
摘要
In the German scientific journal of geographical matters, Petermann’s Geographische Mitteilungen, a short report on the plan of a German expedition to the Taimyr Peninsula appeared in the second volume of 1911 under the heading “Asia” (Wichmann, Petermanns Geographische Mitteilungen 57:26, 1911). A certain Lieutenant Schröder of the Colberg Grenadier Regiment, who had traveled through Russian Lapland the previous winter, wanted to take advantage of his experience and connections with locals and Russian authorities and to start a larger journey in January 1912.
