Major Clades of South American Mammals
摘要
In this chapter, I shall provide a brief introduction to the main lineages that form part of the early history of South American mammals. Here, the proposed phylogenetic relationships, the content and extension of each clade, as well as its distribution are reviewed cursory. Also, a very brief account on selected Mesozoic mammals from South America is included.
