Ballast Water Exchange Requirements

Vessel owners and operators that elect to operate with ballast water exchange (BWE) as the method of ballast water management, including part of the vessel’s contingency measures as discussed in BWM.2/Circ.62 and resolution MEPC.306(7), are required to meet certain requirements.
