A Nonstandard Finite Difference Method for a General Epidemic Model

摘要

This paper aims to investigate the qualitative properties of a general SIR model. The model includes a general function that describes the effect infectious individuals have on susceptible individuals. We use the nonstandard finite difference method to preserve the properties of the continuous model. Then, the theoretical results are confirmed by some numerical experiments.
