Stepping On: A Community-Based Fall Prevention Program
摘要
Stepping On is a group-based fall prevention program for older people living in the community. Developed in Australia, the program has now been implemented successfully in the USA. In this chapter, we describe the need for and population served by Stepping On, discuss the core components of the model, the role of interdisciplinary health professionals, the evidence to support the intervention, lessons learned in the implementation of the Stepping On model, implications for improving health equity, and how the model can be delivered effectively and sustained by organizations into the future.
