Cyber-Collaborative Protocol for System-of-Systems (CCP-SoS)

This chapter introduces the Cyber-Collaborative Protocol for System-of-Systems (CCP-SoS), which is modified from the protocols developed and implemented by (Dusadeerungsikul et al. [2]). The aim of CCP-SoS is to manage a crop plant treatment team, which is launched after the monitoring process provides the locations where treatment is required. CCP-SoS enhances the crop plant treatment process in greenhouses by utilizing cyber collaboration. CCP-SoS, a Cyber-Collaborative Protocol (CCP) integrated for system-of-systems, has two main parts: CRP-I (Optimization) and CRP-II (Harmonization). CRP-I aims to reduce total operation cost, while CRP-II aims to sequence agents to function smoothly and without conflicts, e.g., conflicting sequence precedence constraints. In this chapter, we first introduce the designed protocol and the related components. Then, we follow with the computer simulation experiments conducted to implement and validate the performance of the designed protocol. The results indicate that the CCP-SoS outperforms alternatives. Because of both CRP-I and CRP-II, CCP-SoS can respond to both planned and unplanned operations. In addition, with human-in-the-loop integrated design, the system can smoothly operate, even if some information is missing.
