Cyber-Collaborative Protocols in Precision Agriculture and Agricultural Robotic Systems

This chapter presents the environment setting of the study of CCP: The agricultural environment is used as the domain example here and also later in the book. First, we present our motivation and reasons why we select agriculture, specifically Precision Agriculture (PA). Then, an Agricultural Robotic System (ARS) design model is presented. After that, we explain four main assumptions, used in the study, to provide a general, common setting, and explain the benefits of utilizing CCP for PA. Lastly, limitations of CCP for improving PA are discussed.
