Identification of Critical Urban Drainage Flooding Points Using MIKE URBAN + : A Case Study of Rohtak, Haryana, India
摘要
With the increase in population, vast expansion of cities, and development of infrastructures, there comes a need for modeling of urban drainage networks as the older designs are not efficient of holding discharges with present usage. This paper implements the use of the MIKE URBAN + tool for Rohtak city, India for the one-dimensional hydrodynamic and rainfall-runoff modelling for sewer drainage collection system. QGIS tool is used to get the elevation values of the manholes. This study aims to check the runoff from extreme rainfall event and evaluates the accuracy of the drainage system. The various profile plot for trunk line and sewer line are plotted to show the water level/depth in the nodes. Google Earth has been used along with the ArcGIS tool to locate the manholes that show overflow conditions. The proposed methodology will be useful to identify overflowing points for interventions in drainage system.
