Application of LCZ to Thermal Comfort and Health-Related Studies
摘要
The ongoing urbanization process leads to corresponding influences on human health. Therefore, it is important to plan cities scientifically and reasonably to reduce the negative impacts of urban environmental issues on human health. In this chapter, we will discuss the advantage of the LCZ classification scheme in health-related studies (links urban morphology parameters, land cover and land use types, and thermal properties together, making it easy and understandable for city planners. City planners could modify the related urban planning and design indicators to create a healthy living environment). Representative case studies will also be introduced to demonstrate how the LCZ scheme has been applied to thermal comfort studies, and how WUDAPT served as input data for the spatial estimation of the heatwave.
