摘要

Smart materials are those which can show advanced properties than other materials. Scientists are searching for some advanced and most economic smart materials for the development of the optoelectronic devices. Smart materials having nanomaterials are far ahead of the properties than bulk materials and thus nanomaterials like Gold, Silver, etc. are very important in making of modern optoelectronic devices. Composite of these nanomaterials with some conducting polymers like polyaniline, polypyrrole, and polyacetylene make them very interesting for optoelectronic devices for their remarkable enhancement of optical and electrical properties. Some common methods of preparing of nanomaterials are physical, biological, and chemical. Since green synthesis is a safe method of preparation of nanomaterial for the environment, thus it is used in making nanomaterials and their composite with conducting polymers. Characterizations are generally done with x-ray diffractometer (XRD), electronic microscope like HRTEM and FESEM, FTIR, UV–vis spectroscopy, etc. Standard methods of measuring electrical conductivity and its variation is adopted. Fluorescence is taken with Fluorimeter. A remarkable increase in fluorescence is observed for silver nanoparticles in polyaniline matrix and the composite may be suitable for optoelectronic devices. Huge increase in electrical conductivity and optical absorbance are also observed in Polyaniline nanorod-gold composite and it indicates that it may be a good choice for making an optoelectronic device. Thus variation of composition of composite changes both optical and electrical properties for finding out suitable materials for the optoelectronic devices.
