Design and Analysis of Frequency Selective Surface for Gain Enhancement in Terahertz Applications
摘要
In the current article, FSS-based terahertz antenna design for the current wireless systems with high gain operating at 5.25 THz has been articulated in the form of cost-effective manner. Various metamaterial unit cells are used to design the combination of FSS and patch antenna design, and placing a distance from FSS structure to patch is 8 µm achieved the broader bandwidth of 2.41–6.66 THz (4.25 THz). The proposed FSS design with compact in size 80 µm × 80 µm and produce the high impedance bandwidth a the resonate frequency 5.25 THz. Integration of patch antenna with FSS structure exhibits the higher gain of 9.7 dBi in the resonant frequency. The proposed design is well-suitable for current lens antenna systems for better properties of materials and lens.
