H-Shaped Resonators for UWB Bandpass Filter for 5G Applications
摘要
This document introduces the creation of an innovative bandpass filter with Ultra-Wideband (UWB) designed for the fifth-generation applications. This filter employs an H-shaped resonator positioned at the center of a rectangular resonator, both integrated on a substrate Rogers RT/duroid 5880 type, featuring a dielectric constant of 2.2, an attenuation tangent of 0.0009, and a thickness measuring 0.5375 mm. This substrate is placed on a ground plane of the same area, measuring 40 × 59.52 mm2. The simulation result of the proposed UWB bandpass filter exhibits a bandwidth range [25.75–29.7 GHz] with reflection coefficient is − 15 dB and an insertion loss of around − 2.8 decibels. To evaluate the UWB bandpass filter’s performance, other simulations have been conducted, such as VSWR and surface current distributions, which show satisfactory results. Due to its high performance, the proposed filter is desirable for 5G applications.
